Fall

I heard It was 94 today in baltimore. And while there may be a hurricane coming; next weekend is labor-day which for many people means one more summer weekend. One more meal of crabs one more trip to the beach.
Here in the desert the last two days have felt like fall already . We’ve had to get out an extra blanket had to close windows. It’s getting darker noticeably earlier. And the air has just felt different. I hear we can expect a frost in about 2 weeks.

I’ve been here for 3 months now. And I’m finally a little home sick for Baltimore. I miss good local restaurants. Miss being able to go out for a beer. But most of all miss fresh food from the farmers market. Don’t get me wrong the Safeway here is alot nicer then my old giant…but supermarket food all seems like dried up shoe leather compared to the corn, tomatoes and basil I miss from Baltimore.

we miss you too! Farmer’s market isn’t quite the same without a chance of running into you guys there… Yes, it’s been hot, but before this latest hot spell it actually felt like fall a little bit, a few crisp mornings down near 60 degrees. 😉
